ooo my favs? okay lemme see:

i think sirius is so fucking loud and fun and adventurous in every situation but when he's alone with remus in their flat he gets so soft and quiet and sleepy

they're very touchy but not in the making out every second its more like their fingers are always touching and they're shoulder to shoulder or remus has an arm around sirius' waist at all times

sirius really helped remus with his confidence and self respect

remus encourages sirius to go wild at the club because he loves watching him have fun but the moment someone tries to hit on sirius or dance with him he's running behind remus like 'get him boy' and remus goes into guard dog mode

their favourite cocktails are sex on the beach (sirius) and a negroni (remus)

their dream is to live in cottage in the country and own some chickens

sirius is a gamer, he loves playing online with james until the early hours of the morning and sometimes remus—who has insomnia 100%—wanders out into the living room to get a glass of water and sees sirius curled up in his gamer chair with a blanket around him and he's grumbling to himself at the screen

sirius paints remus nails for him every week with a new colour so they match

remus braids sirius hair for him when its wet so it dries curly

they always shower together but its never sexual, its literally just for the intimacy (plus sirius loves remus' hands in his hair)

remus is very insecure, he just doesn't think he's attractive and even though he has no doubt about sirius' love for him he doesn't love himself a lot and sirius always gives him confidence boosts and if he's having a really shit day he'll pamper him like crazy and help him write affirmations to put on the mirror

speaking of, sirius writes remus little notes that he leaves around the flat and in his bag and in his sock drawer to make him smile

Chiara is pacing through the living room of the de Riva town house once again, has been walking the same pattern through the same room for several hours every day over the past week. Waiting, just fucking waiting, nothing more to do than waiting for news. Viago can't be dead, he's too clever for that, but no one seems to know what really happened on the Verdant Isle, except that several Talons have been murdered. Which ones? Fuck knows. It can't be him, but what if it is?

Down the hallway, the front door opens, and Chiara freezes in place. Quick footsteps of one of the servants rush to meet the intrudor, and Chiara has a dagger pulled and at the ready by the time she hears the first familiar sounds of Viago's voice through the hallway. Another moment later he walks through the door into the living room.

He looks tired.

But so, so alive.

"Viago," Chiara breathes.

"Hello Chiara," he replies as he sinks down on one of the leather couches.

"'Hello Chiara'? Really? Hello? That's all I fucking get?" Relief and anger rush through her in equal measure as she takes in the sight of him, looking for any injury, any damage. She finds none. "A hello? You could've been dead!"

Viago raises an eyebrow at her. "That's a bit offensive."

"Eight Talons went to that island," Chiara rages. "How many lived? Half? And you couldn't even send me a fucking letter? No one could tell me you were alive, let alone where you even were. I - I thought - you -"

She never cries. Definitely not in front of him, never in front of him. She's always strong, has to be, make him proud. But right now she can't keep the tears from welling up in her eyes.

"Where the fuck were you?" she manages after a moment.

"Antiva City."

"To see your father, I presume."

"To see the king, yes. Among other things."

"I don't care he's the king. You should've let me know what happened."

"You're not more important than the king of Antiva, nor the security of the Crows and our country."

"Fuck you."

She sinks down on the couch next to him, and for a while they sit there in silence. She knows he's right. He's always right. It's annoying, really.

"I'm sorry," Viago says after a moment. "I could've sent word."

Chiara sighs. "It's fine. I should've known you were fine."

"You should have, yes."

Chiara elbows him in his side and he pushes her back with a grunt. And with that, her anger resides. Maker, she's glad he's back.

"Wait," she says after another long silence. "What did you mean, among other things?"

"Hm?"

"You were in Antiva City to see your father among other things."

"There are lots of things in Antiva City."

"Sure there are," Chiara says, casually getting up from the couch and taking a precautionary step back. "Although I don't think Teia would appreciate being called a thing."

"Chiara!"

I was seeing the art for the TMNWN after reading the fic and know I'm just wondering how many turtle instincts did the boys have when they were little lol

I'm just imagining Mikey trying to bury himself on the ground at the beggining of winter and driving his dad crazy with it and Raph trying to bite stuff he shouldn't with his very human moith that absolutely should not be biting anything.

A LOT.

It wasn't horrid, but they definitely did have turtle instincts (still do) that would rear their heads from time to time. There have been several 'digging' fiascos (looks at the "getting in trouble for trying to tunnel under their school" line in ch 17) and Donnie and Raph in particular had quite the biting habit when they were still little (looks at ch 4) and still both spend quite a lot of time chewing on things as a stim. All of them had a habit of trying to bite/eat things that WERE NOT FOOD, especially Mikey. Also took them a hot second to learn "you do not have a hard shell you can retract into and hide inside of to hide or avoid impact," which was. You know. A lesson... Might have resulted in at least one ER visit (they were fine.) Dad learned that he had to be very careful going out with Mikey in particular because if he's not paying very close attention and Mikey decides he's done with whatever they're doing, he will just fully wander away and attempt to walk home by himself.

Raph, Donnie, and Leo, blissfully laying in puddles on a rainy day: Their Dad: okay i love u all and im so glad ur enjoying yourselves but youre in the middle of the sidewalk in nyc and also people think youre dead or something plz get up you can do this when we get back home i swear--

5. hmmmmmm there's a couple good angsty flashbacks that i really loved, but there's one in particular (tbh my fics are all starting to blur together in my brain but i'm pretty sure it was from the last yogi steve fic?) where steve's remembering playing out in the woods with tommy and tommy crawls through an old rotted out tree and accidentally puts his hand down on a bird carcass and idk what it says about me or my mental health but i remember writing that and going "oh i am so nauseated by the imagery of this moment, that's some good shit right there"

14. baking!! did you know you can just do unsupervised scientific experiments in your kitchen and you get tiny fucking CHEESECAKES at the end of it??? delicious. incredible. stunning. yes i did have to hide the leftovers in the back of my freezer behind the bags of frozen veggies so i wouldn't eat them all at once

If you were a character in Rise, what would you be? human or yokai? with powers? hero, civilian, or villain? where would you live? would you go to Run of the Mill Pizza? :D

I definitely think being a mutant would be fun! Though I would have to make myself a mutated animal, not a mutated human, otherwise I will give them my childhood trauma XD

Honestly just to be a friend to the turtles would be pretty cool! Also, if I don't give my character my childhood trauma, they also don't need my health problems! So yes I would have my character go to Run of the Mill Pizza. Though I don't know if I would eat the crazy pizzas XD

As for what animal I would have mutated from, well some of my lovely followers gave me ideas for a fursona, being a capybara, a chickadee, or a salmon in a suit <3, so those are all ideas I would consider! (Thank you for those by the way!)

Though foxes are my favorite animal, so it would be hard to say no to that as well! Some day I'll make a Rise oc! I'm not sure if I would give myself powers, I don't know what to pick! I do like teleportation (Nightcrawler is my favorite X-Men after all). But I would definitely be a good guy, maybe not a hero but helping out the turtles from time to time would be nice!

I just want you to know you are my fave Hazbin artist. All you're pictures are so beautiful. You are also utterly hilarious. I was wondering if there was something in particular you like to draw vs something you try to avoid? (For me personally, feet are my enemy but i love drawing eyes)

i love to draw hands! (I KNOW, I USED TO HATE DRAWING THEM TOO, THEY'RE CHALLENGING!!!!) But hands are so expressive and they speak so much, so I often will draw the face and hands first. It's really fun to consider the expression that hands play a part in. The placement of hands is also something I really have fun with.

I find drawing most anatomy really challenging 😂 I just need to study more but I spend so much time just treating the body as "the thing that connects the face to the hands" LOL
